Dr. Nangia has dedicated his practice of medicine to wellness and optimal performance. He believes the deductive medical model of “getting rid of disease” is outdated when it comes to prevention and chronic illness, while focusing on optimal physical, mental, and social well-being is the way for all health practitioners.  He coaches patients to live with “Wellness first” and utilizes alternative approaches such as TMS therapy, supplements, and lifestyle support in his treatment plans.

He is a father of three children and enjoys golf, wake surfing with his kids, and playing softball with his daughter.  He is a member of Menlo Church in Mt. View and is exploring the integration of spiritual practice (regardless of religion or atheist) into treatment.

● Internship at Los Angeles County General Hospital/USC Medical Center in the dual residency program of Internal Medicine & Pediatrics & residency in General Psychiatry

● Chief Resident in Psychiatry at LA County General Hospital/USC and Chair of the LA County Psychiatric Emergency Room Off-Hours Program

● Currently serves as Medical Director for Behavioral Health & Chemical Dependency Outpatient Services at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose.

● Received Community Service Award from Momentum for Mental Health - Santa Clara County’s largest private nonprofit mental health organization

Angelina Chau, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Angelina Chau is a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a commitment to providing compassionate care. Originally from Texas, she earned her undergraduate degree in Allied Health from Texas A&M University. She went on to complete her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.

Now happily living in California, she brings warmth, compassion and dedication to her work as a PA with a special interest in mental health and wellness. Angie believes true mental wellness means caring for the whole person, including the mind, body and spirit, and she strives to create a safe, welcoming space where patients feel seen and heard. She is dedicated to providing care that is grounded in evidence-based practices and to continually expanding her knowledge as she grows in her career.

Outside of work, she is a big foodie who loves to travel, practice yoga and try different workout classes. She enjoys being creative and is always exploring new hobbies that help her stay curious and connected.

Katie

  • Katie received an MBA in leading innovative organizations from Santa Clara University and her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Colgate University. She loves trying to figure out ways to improve the quality of care we provide. Katie’s favorite activities are singing, baking, and scuba diving.

Frankie Nangia

  • Frankie is a 5 year old Westie Terrier and Dr. Nangia’s best friend. He loves to sniff plants, beg politely for food, and rest in inconvenient areas. Frankie constantly reminds our staff to take walk breaks. He supervises all wellness activities in the office and ensures all staff are on task! Frankie also loves to sit in patient’s laps during TMS treatment!

Andrea

  • Areli graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Neuroscience. She plans to apply to medical school with an interest in psychiatry, neurology and neurosurgery. In her free time, she enjoys cooking/baking, going on walks, watching movies, and going to coffee shops. She also loves nature and is starting to go on hikes!

  • Andrea graduated from the University of Redlands with a degree in Health, Medicine, and Society and a minor in Biology. She plans to apply to PA school with an interest in psychiatry and family medicine. During her free time, she likes to go on hikes, spend time with her family and friends, and make lattes at home!

Shivani

  • Shivani is currently studying nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, where she also plays D3 softball. She plans to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner in the future. In her free time, Shivani enjoys playing sports, baking, and spending time in nature.

Bao

  • Bao graduated from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a major in Neuroscience. He plans to apply to medical school with an interest in psychiatry, dermatology, and neurology. In his free time, he enjoys going to concerts, shopping, gardening, and going to the gym!
